Title: Unusual and Large French Coralene Perfume - Maker? Suggestions?

Saw this today at a show we went to and I have to admit I have never seen another even remotely similar to it. I am looking for any possible help to see if anyone would know the maker of the piece, or have any possible suggestions.

It is marked on the underside in black enamel "Made In France", and the metal at the top is also stamped with "Made In France".

I would date it to the 1920's based on the Lotus flower Egyptian Revival feel to it.

It is also tall, standing at about 8.5 - 9 inches in height. Quality glass, very high quality Coralene work......

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a small collection of atomizers/perfumes which I collect if they show some variation on the puffer principle, and have many with the traditional silk or cotton covered rubber bulb like this one.           
Your thoughts on dating this one based on its decorative style may well be correct, but from experience I'd suggest that the non-glass parts look in too good a condition to be from the 1920's.
Coralene goes back well into the C19, but I'm not aware that it had a revival in the early deco period.

I have a feeling that this one looks more recent. :)

The non metal atomizer parts have been replaced. I already knew that. Sorry for not mentioning it.  I know that Coralene was used into the 30's in the US, and just the feel of the piece and the wear to the metal portion tell me the piece is definitely older.

Craig I have a few ladies that are members of the IPBA (International Perfume Bottle Association) & have in the past picked up atomizers with French hardware somewhat like yours. Problem is that from the early 1900s through the 30s there was a considerable thriving cottage industry privately decorating & reselling these atomizers in Europe & the U.S. so attributing them is close to impossible. Craig - thanks for the information regarding the metalware - do you consider the hose and bulb also to have been replaced?

not being a collector of coralene I wasn't aware of the C20 revival in the States, so you may well be correct with your dating - I don't think there was anything similar in the U.K.

The good stuff has coloured beads muffled on, but occasionally I see the poor relation where clear beads are simply stuck to a coloured under-painting.                Manley had some strong views on the different methods of production -

"'Coralene' made correctly is a treasure.       The American specimen (he gives a page reference) shows the right size of pellets, with lustre, muffled in position (the right way of fixing).     This example (here he refers to his illustration), is Continental, very pretty, but cannot be used, and must not be handled, as the pellets will fall off."

Take it Craig that your pellets are coloured and not clear. :)

Hi Paul, the metalware is original, the hose and bulb are new.  The beads are colored and very well done.....
