Title: Autumn Leaves Caithness Vase

9" high - in plae amethyst glass - leaves design to front with bare tree to back showing throw in a kind of 3D effect - etched Caithness to base with script 'Autumn Leaves' and etchers mark LS?

Any suggestions welcomed

Not sure what else you are looking for Adam - you have all the info? You will probably find this is neodymium glass - turns greeny blue under fluorescent light.  have bought 2 or 3 Caithness pieces this colour recently and they have all been neodymium. A nice design. I don't have one yet but will be buying one sooner or later. From Mark Hills book with list of engravers LS is probably Lorna Sutherland.

 Do you know the engraver ?

No sorry robo, the list of engravers in Mark Hill's book doesn't include anyone with those initials that I can see, but it says "engravers included" so is not a complete list

 :hi: It's not neodynum - it's cased amethyst.

Neodynum does not tend to be cased, and it's a far, far wishy-washier colour.

Heather is the correct colour I think
