It is a Kosta Boda vase and I think the pic's not great but the sig is probably K.Engman  :) 49541 it might be from the Can Can series but I can't find it.

I don't think this is Can Can range but I'm at a loss to suggest an alternative.

I think the suggestion for the Corfu range looks most likely.  The date of design was 1995 based on the 49541.  I have a 1998 catalog and it does not appear so the range might have been short-lived.

I can't see the 'melted plastic look' on this vase which I thought was a distinguishing feature of the Corfu range?

I think you have got it correctly identified . The band below the flared out top certainly looks like it was joined by "melted plastic"

kisslikeether just curious to learn something here, do you mean 'melted plastic' in terms of the shape of the vessel or is it referring to where the body is half cased?
Both the vase and the jug show areas of being partly cased in different colours.

No I meant looking like a sheet of plastic had been laid on the hot glass & it had melted back:

yes I see what you mean... but further down the page I linked to there are two other pieces that don't seem to have that effect but it might just be the photographs  :-\
