Title: Owl Sculpture

Anyone know who designed and produced this owl sculpture, and when it was made?  The technique of the gray and black interior portion is quite amazing, in my opinion.

Hi Charles, this looks like FM Ronneby to me.
It's difficult to date your owl without a label or inscription.
These owls were in production over a long period of time,
approx mid 1960's to mid/late 1980's.

Robbo, you have a signet. Do you mean a swan (cygnet)?
I'd love to see some photos of your FM animals!  ;)


I have a FM owl, with a label, and I date my owl to the late 1960's.

My sister has a large bird with out-spread wings that uses this same decoration, fully signed to the base. I'll have to requisition it for photographs at some point.

Hi Inca - I'll take some photos of the little critters!
The reason I say cygnet (LOL signet [sic.] something missed by my spell-checker!) is that the bird is baby-swan shaped but has the grey feather internal treatment like the owl. As far as I know cygnets are greyish brown as in the story of the "Ugly Ducking"!
The tortoise is very cute too.
