Title: Large blue flared mouth vase 1930s
Post by: Andy on March 20, 2008, 12:15:57 PM
A lovely big blue vase 13 inches tall, about 12 inches across the mouth!
I think its got some age to it 1930s - 50s. Polished pontil. All good so far ;D

Sadly bought in my early collecting days for too much money, because someone has
signed it Keith Murray Stevens & Williams ! And i dont think thats probably right :'(  :-[  :-[

Still, one learns from ones mistakes, and moves on, its been sitting at the back of a shelf for some
years now, but i still think its a nice impressive piece of glass, and i thought someone on here, may
have an idea where it has come from?
It could be an English maker, maybe Bohemian?

Any ideas
Cheers
Andy

Heres another one of the base.

Nobody laugh,
and if anyone thinks it may be genuine,or at least Stevens & Williams, feel free to let me know :D

The unpolished base + irregularity of the pontil + this particular shade of blue, points to China IMHO
