Title: Blue Opalino Bottle - Not Archimede Seguso (I think)
Post by: horochar on March 17, 2012, 01:34:39 PM
This bottle appears to be mold blown and is thinner and has a very old rubber stopper, all of which lead me to believe it is not Archimede Seguso.  Maybe not even Murano (although that's my best guess).  If not Murano, I'm thinking other Italian or Japanese.  It's definitely vintage.  If I had to guess, I'd say early 1960s.  Any help would be appreciated,

Charles.

Answering my own question (as I often do), here's two more examples.  http://www.antiquehelper.com/item/338046 (http://www.antiquehelper.com/item/338046)  Which, of course, DON'T answer the question because no maker is identified.  At least I'm correct that they're Italian.  But...still hoping someone might be able to provide more info.

It seems to be well made - but I'd be most unhappy about a rubber, neoprene or cork stopper.
