Thanks Tam Bam - I think so too!.

I have a larger neodymium version, but unsigned - which was attributed to Cenedese (Da Ros). (there is a picture of it in Anita's Zoo)  When I saw this signed one advertised I just had to have it to confirm attribution of the other too - as well as for itself of course .
Design and Arts called it a Dove (Taube) .

Oh Jackie,  that is the sort of glass bird I dream of finding.  I have one I am certain is Da Ros,  but as it is unsigned and has no label,  I can't prove it.....but thank you for sharing yours....it is very special.   To have a Uranium and a Neodymium bird is wonderful   I truly share your joy.

Have a wonderful Christmas Jackie and lots of glassy luck in 2012.

Rosie.  :)

Jackie, I nabbed the pictures to include in the zoo. Thank you!

I bought a Cenedese scavo crab from Design & Arts the other day. It arrived as fast as if it was sent from a local city and was very well packed. I have never been overly fond of scavo, but I couldn't resist the crab. I hadn't seen one like it in the States, though there is probably one lurking somewhere.

I'll post a link here when I get the bird into the zoo. It is a good one.

Jackie, your bird is in the zoo now at http://sites.google.com/site/muranozoo/birds-7. If you want to make any changes, just let me know. I didn't realize until I put the pictures under your other bird how similar the designs are. The larger size and blunt wings are apparent, but the body form is much the same. Great little birds. I've often heard the ones with red sommerso vessels called "blood spot" or "heart." I don't know if the same terms are used for blue spot... unless maybe they're royalty.  :usd:

That is lovely Anita, thank you.

Yes there are differences - apart from size and materials of course, the head is a different shape - this one almost has a bump on top - and the wings are pointed instead of blunt ended like the larger one, but unmistakeably the same hand I feel.

Best wishes for Christmas to you and all at the Zoo!

regards
