Any clues to the maker? At first I thought it was Walthers Waldorf clock but I dont think it is,feels more like a bagley blue.
-
The Bagley Glass book (Bowey, Parsons and Parsons) states there were only four known clocks by Bagley, none of which match your example. Hope this helps eliminate one option.

Looks very Bagley-ish to me, as does the blue one in this (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,21659.0.html) thread, I'm wondering if it could be an as yet unknown Bagley design? Someone in the know will probably tell us I'm barking up the wrong tree though...

Thanks ..... I have a Bagley Grantham green uranium clock marked with British glass undernieth, but the one above has no marks, is a solid piece of glass and heavier and tbh looks earlier than my Bagly clock and is a much more yellowy coloured glass ...... I've spent hours and hours searcing for it but to no avail .... Cross eyed now lol
-
If it's yellowish, then it isn't Bagley. Bagley veers towards bluish.
-
Thanks .... The above clock and my Bagley are very different greens and the above feels much better quality as its a solid piece of glass and very pretty and very bright under uv ....

Merged 2 queries about the same pattern for tidiness.

I have the very same clock in frosted pink. The glass is almost identical to that of Bagley, but as you say, this is not catalogued as a Bagley piece. I am none the wiser of its maker. The annoying thing, is that there is the remains of a moulded mark inside of the base of my example. It can also be noted that the mouldings are the same both sides. No doubt to make to easy work of fitting the clock at the distributors.

Hannah B: The yellow glass may be the pointer. Very few glass factories used it for press moulded glass of this style, that I can think of. I had not thought of that, and your example is a joy. oyemicanto: I also considered it to be the Waldorf pattern, its very similar. The clock movement in my example reads "FOREIGN"... which is hardly any help at all!

Hannah's clock is green, but a shade that has a hint of yellow about it

Thank you Lustrousstone. I was going by the photo of it. Cheers for your help. I am having fun, looking back on the posts of these pages. Learning a lot from them too!
