Title: Identification of this vase - could someone help?
Post by: Jeanette1 on October 18, 2006, 10:50:13 PM
I wonder if someone could help me.

I have been asked by a friend to try and identify this vase, but am struggling.  I initially thought it may be Whitefriars but am unsure.

I would be very grateful for any advice.

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, definitely not Whitefriars. Possibly German or Czech but someone will come along and tell you.

A bit of further information.

The vase stands approximately 30cm high and weighs around 4.5kg.  The glass is extremely thick.  Colour is amber cased in green.  The base is ground.

I can trace this back at least 2 generations.

Hi, hard to tell from the picture but it could be Magnor (Norway)?
I have seen vases with the same decor from them.
