Hi All,
I was hoping someone may be able to provide some further information on this one.
It has its original sticker, which I gather relates to Iittala. I have seen similar pieces from their candlestick 'Archipelago Range', although haven't managed to come across this exact design. I was hoping someone could confirm if its is indeed from this range along with a date of production.
If it is indeed from the Iittala Archipelago Range, was this range designed by Timo Sarpaneva..?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Greg :)

The Arkipelago candlesticks were made in round, triangular and square versions, also in different heights but as far as I know in clear glass. Here's a triangular example (http://www.designlasi.com/en/content/arkipelago-candlestick-sarpaneva-timo-en-2).
Yours I think are Arktia (http://www.designlasi.com/en/content/arktia-0).

Excellent, different shapes colours and probably sizes for this design too.
You can end up with a lot of candlesticks.... ;D

I sold a vase on ebay a few months back same design, it was signed on the base TIMO SARPANEVA . It was quite large and very heavy .jp

Hi,
This one was particularly heavy for what it is, just over 1kg.
A little bit more info I came across, just for interest, apparently this range ran from 1985 through to 1997 when it was discontinued by Iittala.
Thanks all for your thoughts.
