Title: Clear cased blue disc-shaped vase ID = pattern made by Skrdlovice then Beranek
Post by: dirk. on April 21, 2010, 08:25:19 PM
Hi!

Does anyone know this vase? The general appearance and the pacman-shaped outer
layer of cobalt blue reminds me of the Suhájek vase(s) shown in Mark Hill´s book.
The sides of the vase are diagonally grooved. The base is flat and polished.
It´s ca. 18.5cm tall and 19cm wide

TIA
Dirk

I am pretty certain this is Skrdlovice, 1979 by Oliva,
lovely vase....... it may just fit in my jacket pocket....

I´ve been wondering all day how your jacket would look after that.  ;D

Found the design in a different colourway in the Beranek catalogue on Jindrich´s site:

Thx Dirk! If you have two of these I could maybe fit one in each pocket, for balance. Your colourway may well be old Skrdlovice rather than later Beranek glass production,
