Had this for yonks but thought I'd give it a whirl and see if I can't nail down an attribution.
I hesitate to place this as Murano or Scandi as can be seen from the odd-looking base. This is formed, not ground, and is quite deep. The glass is entirely yellow-amber but is not reactive to UV (black) light to either Cadmium or Uranium.

The dish is just over 13" (33cm) long, well made and I have already enquired with Marcus, who reckoned (if it was Czech) that Mstisov glassworks was a possibility.

Is the inside "button" depressed in the center so that it would hold a taper candle?
Your piece resembles a Tiffin Modern candleholder but much larger.

There is no depression on the inside - no place to put a candle - but I did look around for Tiffin Modern and found the following:

That was the style that I was thinking about. The color is called Golden Banana.
BUT the bottom of Tiffin Modern pieces will normally be flat. I looked through my books and saw that they made 7 in candleholders in the same shape which hold a taper in the center. I was thinking that possibly yours could have been made as a centerpiece bowl made to hold candle in center.
But if there is no depression in the center of the button to hold a candle, then I think you have to look elsewhere. JMHO. :wink:

Not sure what you mean by the "inside button", but the side view shows the profile of the glass reasonably well. I suppose it could hold a candle with a very broad base, but it would be self-supporting.

David from the side view it does look as if there is a 'button' sticking up inside but it is obviouly the depression from underneath.

To me it looks like the depression underneath projects up into the center of the bowl. This perceived projection I was terming a "button" for lack of a better term. I was inquiring whether the center of the projection had a depressed area which would hold a candle. Think of one of those thick walled coasters sitting in the middle :lol:
I have a set of Viking Epic holders which would illustrate what I mean but wouldn't you know I just deleted them from my site in preparation of taking them to the local auction :roll:

It so happens, Connie, that you could turn it upside down and use the 'button' (good enough as any description!) as a candleholder :P
