I recently purchased this Monart SD shaped, size V, bath salts jar My question is what colour code would it be. The colours are purple with white veining and gold aventurine.

State of the art on colour codes is still those shown here http://www.ysartglass.com/Indexcat01.htm I probably do have a few to be added but really only a few!
-
Had look at the web pages showing the Monart colour codes but could not see it. After more research I have identified it to be 264A.

If you find a labelled example and can get images of piece and label that would be great.
-
nice piece, used to own one in different colourway from the Turner collection, brilliant shape and size, wished id kept mines,
-
Sorry Frank no access to image of label with colour code, though I do have an image of the Monart piece. Out of interest Gary, was the lid stuck or unstuck in the piece you had.
-
the lid on mines was unstuck, infact it was a perfect fit, if you took lid off then placed it on top of rim it would slowly slide down into place, was yours stuck at one time????,
-
As far as I am aware the lid has not been stuck, but as a precaution I have put a light film of vaseline on the outside lid.

good thinking, so one same as yours not long back, think sumone had got the lid stuck at some point as there was a few litte nibbles around the rim as if they had been trying to prize lid out
-
It was Wolf (GMB member) who give me the tip of putting vaseline on the lid.
The rim is undamaged.
