Title: Tumble up set - ID = probably Krosno Poland

Got this the other look very Scandinavian & was wondering if any of you good people had any ideas. It is about 8 inches tall, very well cased as you can see. The bubble is not floating & is open to the base (nice & easy to clean :D)
I have looked on the Designlasi site (Thank Andy) but no joy there, so any help greatly appreciated.

Agree with Ivo...I've seen these with department store labels/barcode on the base (think it was M&S but may have been one of the others)

I have found one that looks the same on Ebay selling as Krosno & on various bits Krosno have the open bubble, so guess that what it is.
So not going to make my fortune from this bit then :cry:

M&S did have them, yes. Don't know where the tumble ups were made but the vases in the same range with the bubble base were made in China.    http://yobunny.org.uk/gallery1/displayimage.php?pos=-423

Lidl actually sell more mainland European items than Chinese from what I can see.  :P  I always have a look when I'm there and their ceramics are nearly always German, and much of their glass seems to be Polish. Having said that, Chinese production is improving - the vase I have looks good and is well-made. Some of the others weren't so well-made aI deliberately went through them all and picked out the best example to show how easy it is to be fooled by these pieces. The poorer-made ones have the line where the colour changes to clear somewhat offset or uneven, and the bubbles varied in size too. Also note that the top rim is flat cut and smooth, not rounded/fire-polished.

Dave, just to confirm for you, whilst in TKMaxx a few weeks ago there were lots of these tumble ups in the same style and colour and they were all stickered Krosno.  8)
