Title: Roger Tye
Post by: Sue C on March 22, 2008, 05:54:53 PM
I sent an email to Roger Tye asking about my nose vase and recieved a lovely reply, below is what he said.

Indeed it is a piece from my now defunct Phoenix studio.
We in fact made these as oil lamps with a small wick- holder, or perfume bottles in which case they had a stopper with a wavy top to it.
Where did you get it?
If the hole in the top is @ 5mm then it is likely to be a oil lamp for which I still have some wick-holders.
If it is then let me know and I will send you a couple.

Best regards

It is so nice when artist's take the time to reply, now i know it is not a vase  :D

What a lovely reply Sue, and well done Mr Tye!  It'd be super if he drops by as well. :)
