Can anyone ID this strange piece of glass on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6169995036)?  Looks like a lamp cover perhaps?  Nice green!  Claims to have been dug from a 1930s tip in the UK.  --ian

Looks like you are right, have you tried a patent search as it is probably after 1920?

Seller also has a bird feeder.

I tried full euro esp for inventor "LEATHERS" and the only thing remotely like it I saw was GB191303665 (http://v3.espacenet.com/textdoc?DB=EPODOC&IDX=GB191303665&F=0),  "Improvements in Stoppers for Discharging the Contents of Bottles and the like" by CHARLES CARROLL LEATHERS, but that doesn't seem right.  The GB esp search is still down  :( --  Am I missing anything?  --ian
