Just to fill in here - Craig contacted me seeking advice and I pointed him here. I know there was a discussion on these 'cage-blown' items before but couldn't find the original topic, so can anyone point him there?

Items in both these topics were Id'd as being Italian.

There is a label on one of the lamps........... "made in itally........... small rectangle with edges like old postage stamps.......... but the writing is gone above the made in Italy....... at best there is possibly a " Z" that is faded, nothing more................ Craig

{oracle mode} Zanetti is more likely than Zanussi {/oracle mode}

Great lamps! ......
Ivo, I doubt the writting on the label, that looks like a Z, would be a makers name. It is mos likely part of the item # or import # given to the lamp, specially if it is a paper label. Letters along with numbers are used to identify a pattern.
redgreenblue - Can you post a photo of the label?
We might be able to lknow more about the lamps from it.
