Last one for now, thought it would be much easier to pin down than it's proving to be :-[
Beautiful smooth iridescent pearl-like finish, (definitely a hint of pink but not as much as is showing in the pics) contrasting with the raised green spatter
ground pontil 3.5 inches tall 4.5 inches wide
any pointers gratefully received
cheers, Mel

A very nice piece of Kralik mother of pearl, see Kralik glass.com, ;D ;D
-
thanks for the confirmation Keith, that was my first thought when I picked it up - but I'll be damned if I can find it on Craigs site lol
back for another look >>>>

Keith, have you seen other Kralik MoP bits with added colour like this piece has?
John

found this whilst surfing this afternoon
http://www.nouveauglass.co.uk/kralik-glass/kralik-vase-3/
and much closer to the true colour of mine
-
I could have sworn there was one on Craig's site,
John; I have seen this colour variation before, was tempted by a massive vase in this style, around 14-16 inches but it had too much damage to the rim. ;D,positive this is Kralik, ;D ;D
-
not the same colour variation but Mike has a pair of very pretty Kralik cisele vases on his site here

spotted that pair yesterday m, different colourway as you say but the apple green does seem to be a recurrent theme
-
Fair enough, I would not argue with Kralik but in Mel's photos it doesn't look like their mother of pearl (I appreciate comparing photos can have it's complications).

hi John,
I would agree about the colour of mine not looking like the Kralik examples but I do think that is just a combo of the light (very odd yesterday) and my camera. It is much whiter i real life - did you see the link I posted yesterday? I'd say it was its twin brother and the colour is spot on for mine

Sorry, I forgot to reply and don't mean to be rude. I did see your post and they do look like twins, I just question attributions I find online (and for that matter in print...). Sellers want to shift their stock and a 'name' can help draw attention - I am guilty of this myself from time to time.

that's OK John, didn't expect a reply and didn't think you were being rude :-*
I am quite terrified posting on these boards lol but I do prefer to get attributions right if I can and always take googling with a pinch of salt unless I can back it up - still its a good place to start :)
thanks again

Kralik Colored Spots. Although an example just like this does not appear on the site yet, my opinion is that it is that decor.

and some pics not on the site yet......
