Title: Small Murano PW
Post by: antiquerose123 on October 21, 2010, 01:47:08 AM
 :chky: and  :hi:

I just got this today here, and I LOVE it!   Murano right?  I love all the colors in it, as they are so Pretty.  I forgot to take the measurements here but I think it was 2.5 or something like that.  Lovely little weight, and I am so Happy.  Base does show wear, and you can see some aventurine in the bottom too.

Ideas on Age, etc?

Thanks  :kissy: ....and Thanks   ;)

Your enthusiasm is contagious, Rose!  You've got yourself a nice little Murano weight.  The canes are interesting, and I especially like the center one.  As far as maker, I'm not much help there.  I don't think FT though.  Age .... 60's to 70's perhaps?  Others will be able to fill in the blanks for you.  I will be watching with interest.  Murano weights are often much nicer in person than perhaps they are in photos. (imho)

Congrats on your nice find; I'm really happy for you.

The shape is like some Seguso I have. That one cane to the side looks like something thy would make

I do love a colorful Murano. I particularly like the ground on this one. Very nice find.

Hi Rose,

I am not a Murano specialist (just an enthusiastic collector), but I wonder whether the maker may be Galliano Ferro. Some of these canes look like Galliano Ferro to me.

Also looking at the pictures of your other post, it could well be Seguso (which was glasstrufflehunter's suggestion originally and who would know).

Sorry not much help after all....
