Hi All,
I have a very 1950's feeling bowl which measures about 10cmx10cmx10cm. It has eight thick lobes of clear glass over a nice emerald green layer in the manner of sommerso technique. Between the green and clear layers is a layer of evenly distributed bubbles - controlled/bullicante. Anyone seen one of these with a sticker?
Pics below. Cheers!

Not my cup of tea, but reminds me of this thread: 'new info suggests Poland' ? (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,49201.0.html) :)

Hi Pamela,
Thanks for the link. I see the similarities but definitely more differences. Interesting though, i have not seen much Polish glass before, and those pieces are quite beautiful.
Cheers

I think that as you are in Australia, I would look at Japanese glass

Hmm, it reminds me of nothing Japanese that i have seen, and we're not actually that overrun with Japanese glass. Japanese ceramics is another story, much more common.

I would suggest a bullicante Murano piece. I have not seen a Japanese piece with controlled bubbles that I can remember.
