... consisting of crescent shaped tray, ring thing, two candle sticks, two covered small bowls and a slightly larger one. Can anyone ID it?
-
Hi Ivo, most certainly Walther SUNSET
Congrats on your book! It's on my wish list :hiclp:

Ich danke dir :thud: und freue mich ebenfalls auf die bevorstehende Publikation!

Oooh nice! Ivo, may I use your image on the trinket set site please?
-
Of course, no problem.

Now this has been IDd I hope no-one minds me saying that when I first read the thread title I thought it said 'Uranium toilet seat' and I thought 'gosh there's a thing!' and looked at the thread fully expecting to see a photo of one - DOH! :spls:
-
Thanks Ivo, much appreciated. :)
:24: @ Pip! :)

:24: hate to say it, but I thought I read somewhere that P (with a UV light) does Glow.
So PIP, you might have not been too far off -- but it might have to be a messy one.
I thought the title also said that too (Seat) ...

Looks like I'm in good company - with Pip and Rose, searching for that unusual U-glass toilet seat....

Ivo was so kind and sold that set to me last year.
Last Sunday night I found the matching clock (http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270790979624&ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT) and would have loved to complete the set... :chky:
Some hours later: :wsh: (http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270791922712&ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT)

Oh Pamela, how frustrating! I guess the seller has sold it elsewhere, hence the listing being ended early. What a super clock too!
-
Thank you Anne :kissy:
in fact he did - click on your quick blue sshhhh :wsh: an irrestible BIN request
At least, I've got the photos and permission : http://pressglas-pavillon.de/tafelaufsaetze/09920.html
still very sad ... :spls:
-
Pamela, a question if I may... so far I've only seen pictures of Sunset in green and pink. Have you seen other colours please?
Glad you have the pics at least... but still a shame to miss the clock itself.
-
Anne, this was in fact the first Sunset clock I'd ever seen. I already had doubts whether it was manufactured at all :-\
So it's nice to hear from you that it existed in pink too - needing patience :ra:
:sm:
-
:kissy:
One day, my friend, one day for sure... :)
-
I've not seen the clock in pink, Pamela, just the trinket pots etc... this is the first clock in Sunset I've seen at all.
-
Thank you, Dirk, for always keeping your eyes wide open for me !
Anne, I've got (only) a BLUE trinket pot :) Lid is broken, photo follows :t:

Incredible but true: Buyer now claims a considerable price reduction for something clearly visible in auction's images... :huh2:
:thud:
-
Hi Pamela
It was me who bought the clock away from yourself and other Walther collectors. Sorry about that, but I do need this clock in my collection as well.
The reason for the reduction was not because of the line appeared on the top of the clock or the rusty bits on the clockface itself. It has got a few chips (one is quite large) not being mentioned at all in the listing. As you could read in the listing, it said "no damages". How would you feel when you bought something on the internet not being accurately described?
Regards
Brenton

Hi Brenton,
glad to hear that obviously you've sorted this out with the seller. She is a lovely lady of 72 and
simply had overlooked the damage at the base, which however was definitely clearly visible in her picture below.
I always inspect photos thoroughly before placing a bid; and it's also fun to get at least a chance to win something of desire.
I do not grudge you the pleasure of owing this rare beast, .......but lovely pictures of your Petri items for my pavillon
would be an appreciated consolation prize :P
:ooh:
-
Pamela, I love the colour of your blue Sunset pot! May I use this photo on the GTS website to show the blue and pink as well please? Full credit will be given of course. :kissy:
-
Welcome Anne, you've got mail :girlcheer:
-
Received and replied, thank you Pamela! :kissy:
-
Hi Pamela
There's actually one bigger slither chip on the other end as well. Anyway, all over now and just move on.
I have an old photo of (petri and luna) together, is that okay or would you prefer me to take the photo of each piece individually. Attached also photo of the Haarlem centrepieces.
Cheers
Brenton
-
Brenton, sorry for the delay - just returned home from Prague :sun: .
Larger photos of each piece individually would be really wonderful - including Haarlem please.
Kindly use my email address below, thank you

Have sent you some photos to your email. Hope you'll receive it soon
