Iv'e been told that this is a rose vase, it's a pretty dusky pink and has a bubble band around which resembles a snake.
On the bottom there is a circle with a capital R inside................... i know nothing so any help would be appreciated.
Thanking you

The R in a circle is I think the mark of Richard Clements from Tasmania. Best known for his perfume bottles. Are you sure this is a vase and not a bottle with a missing stopper? you did not give sizes?

He can probably make a new stopper for you too http://www.richardclements.com/

Jackie and Frank thank you so very much, it's about two inches high..... yes it does indeed look as though it could be a perfume bottle, am going to look more at the site of Richard Clements.
Again thanking you....

Kay — Welcome.
Attributions on the GMB can take minutes, hours, days, months, years or never. One of mine that took nearly six years was Mystery blue pressed bowl, - ID = Poland, Stolle Niemen (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,157.0.html), but there aren't many like that.
Much depends on a well-worded title attracting the interest of someone who knows, as many of our members only drop by occasionally.
