Is this vase made and signed by Tagliapietra and if so is it Lino?
-
any one have any idea on this signature or where i might try to get it identified?
it was sold to me with the mention that it was tagliapietra, i just don't know which one or if in fact its another maker altogether

Hi. I'm sorry I can't be of much help but I found this auction site that has a vase listed with Lino Tagliapetra signature, which is not the same as the signature on yours. Here is a link to the site - you need to click on 'view more images' then you'll see his signature. I hope that is of some help!

Actually, I have just found this posting on the GMB re Andrea Tagliapietra's signature. Yours looks much more like her signature.

You are right, Nancy. It is Andrea, who is a man. ;)

Thanks for keeping me right Anita! And that's great that you confirm it's his signature. :)

Thank you all for the help - Andrea its is, I bought it as i liked it but due to a major color scheme change in the house was looking to sell it on and only then did i do some initial research into the Tagliapietra name only to find there was more than one and that one was in fact 'the one'.

Sorry for your, but I agree with the previous replies.
You man is Andrea Tagliapietra, not Lino.
Very different technique and style between them.
Sorry because the different name make a different in value of several 1000s Euro... :P
Anyway a nice piece!
Ciao
Alex
