ah, I've been trying to work out which city - is it Malaga?

Edited - doh!! I've just noticed Malaga written very faintly on one of the photos/postcards  ::)

Have you visited here?

I haven't been since it opened.  Over 3000 pieces of glass in a private collection (some Monart as well :) but I couldn't find any good pictures to link)

Indeed there is a Museum >>                     (http://www.museovidrioycristalmalaga.com/)

I associate Vespino (motorcycle) with Hanus (glass) simply because they are my two passions. Passions that I prepared creeping up to the top.  :P

For the moment I will expose and market will be quality prints on paper limited, numbered and signed edition size 15x15, 30x30, and 50x50 cm.(Please note: the business of the shirts I leave to you)
Coming in the Glass Market Place section I will announce edition prints of the drawings. (Do not panic, I hope that prices will mnemonics).

Well, I'm glad you like my work. I will be happy to present here. I learned a lot in this forum and I will continue to need your help to properly contextualize my drawings.

I also offer my work on Vladimír Zahour and vase "1,2,3" (also could be called "Babel" for its ambitious height and levels).
The work of V. Zahour, I think it is not well known and it seems of great quality.

                                                  - KRISTAL POESIE -
I discovered the modern Czech glass live, on my first trip to Prague back in 1998, and I was buying parts at random:
                                ŠKRDLOVICE - MATURA - EXBOR - PODĚBRADY
                                     VÍZNER - ROSICE - SVOBODA - JURNILK
                                       PALEČEK - JELÍNEK - HLAVA - OLIVA
                                   ŠUHÁJEK  - URBAN - LIBENSKÝ - KOTIK ...... ..
This melody so strange names found it difficult to retain, to bring order and harmony in this symphony, I decided to create these ideograms (associative-mnemonics)
as emblems to fix concepts and draw a exhaustive and poetic catalog of modern Czech glass.

This Victorian girl dressed in white, playing lonely, lost in the forest: is the princess of all stories. Is the primary Venus, Beauty, dodging the dangers of life here represented by the forest.
This image is addressed directly to the collective unconscious; is undoubtedly why this formula persists, why still occurs with irremediable success.

The designs of Josef Hospodka to Chřibská are usually floral inspiration (something Italianate?).
This 1958 is its short flower, therefore we think tender, and we've made some portraits.
They come in different colors and subtle shades of white.

Here are the Vizner vises. The name is appropriate, for without doubt in the mind of the teacher was this object as a formal reference.
Only an artist like Vizner can transcend a common object and lead to the divine.

When you see a piece of perfect crystal: in its proportions, its modulated waveforms, serene imposing its presence very quiet way ....
                               That's a Václav Hanuš.
Here is his siñorita a cornerstone of great sensuality.
Is an untouchable lady unstable and virginal elegance; anyone who dares to take her in his hands will forever remain committed .

This design of Max Kannegiesser, irregular oval enameled in bright colors, has been very popular.
With it's. classic line of Borské assumed airs of abstract modern informality.
We suppose that "Nemo", refers to the character of Jules Verne's novel: Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
Those ovals should therefore be marine inspiration; But the cheerful bubbling of balloons, also reminiscent of champagne and sparkling wines.
We think it is because this joyous association that has been so successful.
Counting, of course, with Borské glass quality.

Here I met a Jiří Brabec and Jaroslav Svoboda, for his passion for the drops.
Those of Brabec are denser, controlled, geometric. The most liquid, scattered, random Svoboda.
Both pay tribute to the raw material, the glass flux.
In their designs displayed as finishing what was at first: curl curl, bite the tail.
Subjugated by the soft forms of a plastic universe, dream like Dali in Time: soft, continuous and present.

…….............................

En 1981 (a los 30 años de edad)) creó este singular modelo:”Lotus”, probablemente su pieza más popular aunque quizás no la más interesante;

Václav Zajík born in Turnov in 1951 (two years younger than me, wow !!).
He had professors as Libenský or Matura and an analytical and investigative spirit that make particular your artistic creations

                                           …………………………………..
In 1971 František Vizner conceived these vases - No. 7117 for Škrdlovice.
A mass of cubes adhere to a central body, generally cylindrical,
covering all or part of sticky way.
Some suggest they pineapples, toffees ... even ice cubes.
We put out of focus attention, on the core, and we have stripped.

=Matura Natural=
                  ……………………………………………………………
= Matura Natural =
Matura anthropomorphic crystals are a real exception in the panorama of modern Czech glass.
It makes sense because modernism prefer an abstract language before naturalist.
Adolf classic feel with their "angels OK" and their faces impassive or watery eyes.
MATURA is a credit to have solved this impossible:  be modern of NATURAL way.
* In this drawing, in a game, we have added him to their ears faces serving us one of their dishes Rudolfova.

= Disco Schmid =

= Disco Schmid =
We know little about Jan Schmid, except that 1960 was his year of glory.
Among his designs, today we highlight the Disco [Libochovice -No 3221/30 - 1960] a relentless geometry.
It settles on a glass bubble, but remember, are not those of bubble wrap (invented two years earlier in 1957)
and the current LED lights traffic lights. Its optical curvature ,Vasarely sister,
to play with false dimensions: windows open to a future we do not know.

His designs for Moser, some for Škrdlovice, obtain domestic and international recognition.

The critics often insist on the fact that socialist realism prevented the young abstract artists express themselves freely and to Kotik is mentioned as an example, taking refuge in glass design to express themselves in Conscientious (I think it is a simplistic and partisan vision * West version). Others refer to the Czech Baroque influences .... You can also these "Atlas" or "propellers" are just an attempt to surpass and carried beyond the Beránek models.
This model is a silent Schmid Classic.
His odd number of sides (something uncommon in pressed glass design),
their precise curvatures, its play of lights; Give the Rosice colors your best shine.
* (Success and mass production rivaling the -lens vase- Schrötter also Rosice).

Fantastic!

Just a little comment to Vizner's Rudolfova. You have to rotate this vase about verical axis for 90 degrees.

Than look to the siluete and you will recognise stylised woman's body. More courageous is his vase Rosice 622. You do not need too much phantasy to understand what Frantisek has had on mind.

My wife Sonia once has asked him directly: is it really that issue what I can see?
Vizner answered:  Well madam, you should remember that we were very young.....
Title: Re: Czech glass / mnemonics drawings

Unfortunately I'm not as young as Vizner was,nor as visionary as his wife.
And for more turns I give him. I can not see the obvious.
Otherwise: Every vase has 2 sexes (inside - outside).
All vase is therefore androgynous (ambivalent).

There has always been tension between the ideal geometry of Euclid and Plato (on which our civilization has been built) and the apparent disorder we perceive in Nature.
Art has always been one step ahead of Science.
Today, topological mathematics and fractal and chaos geometries are interested in complex forms, which have always been the natural material in the work of artists.
Taraba in his creations addresses this problem, managing to create "stains" rigorously constructed; offering us an extraordinary synthesis of the problem.
