There used to be a huge collection in the Hancock Museum, Newcastle upon Tyne, don't know if they are still there as I haven't visited for years. The largest I think is The Ware collection in Harvard 4,000 items!!
I love them! so stunning in detail.

And the amazing museum of natural history in Dublin. Not sure if they are on display, last time I visited the museum it was being renovated.

You did indeed give me the book of the plates of the glass flowers in the Ware collection. I grabbed hold of it as soon as I read this thread!
It's the copy once owned by Helen Munroe-Turner, with her name and 1946 written inside.
No sea anenomes or octopussies. Just flowers and bees, flies, moths and butterflies.

The book Christine gave me is copyrighted to 1940, (in the states).
It contains 16 colour drawings by Fritz Kredel of the glass pieces.
(the intricate detail is amazing - they're like proper botanical specimens)
I could, if it's past copyright law, photograph them for showing.
But somebody would need to let me know about the legality first - then you'd have to wait until I can get around to it. ::)
