I take it that nobody wants it? the base is not clear imho and that means it's new? I do not want it either ;D

It's not old Classic Carnival, as you suspected, Pamela - it's newer Indiana "Goldtone" iridescent, circa 1970s.
(I don't want it either ;))
EDITED TO ADD: the colour of the base glass won't determine whether it's old or new though.

the base of 'this gone' looked iridised also - wasn't this to signify NEW? :-\
