Topic: A question for the Vaseline Glass experts

Well, my Gulliver arived this morning - and I'm in heaven!    How have I lived without this book?  Lovers of Victorian 'frilly' glass please note - wear a bib if you don't want to spoil the book by drooling on it! 

Bernard, I see just what you mean about the ??Richardson and other rustic hanging baskets on page 183!  However, my frame has no hook or any sign of one having broken off    Still, perhaps the basket had a hook rather than a straightforward handle.  Now all I have to do is find a basket that has survived the loss of its frame!  How likely is that, I ask myself?   
Anyway, many thanks for your help, and for prompting me to buy this most beautiful book    :hug:

Hi Leni,
I knew you'd love this book! It is one of my favourites (& I have over 50 books on glass) & you are so right, there is so much utterly drool-worthy Victoriana in this book.
Good luck with finding the matching basket......I too have a few pieces waiting for baskets & other bits, & I live in hope! For example I have a tall peloton vase with 2 hooked handles that need baskets. I think I'll be searching a long time but as the saying goes, getting there is half the fun!
