Just had to show my new Frantisek Vizner geometric vase bought last weekend 8) along with the following two ashtrays which I know nothing about.

This looks like it could possibly be Czech? Oval shape, with a well base and a band of vertical ridges around the underside. Weighs 1kg.

Absolutely no idea about this one. Initial thoughts - may be Scandi? Could be modern? Large heavy crystal ashtray or dish (1.7kg). Smooth rounded bumps on the base and smooth rounded vertical ridges or columns around the outside edge.
Any ideas/comments would be much appreciated.
TIA :)

Hi Anne,
First two look good to me. The Vizner vase hase an interesting design similarity with a Moser item from the 1920's by Ludvika Smrckova. The second has all the hallmarks of SU, colour, finish etc, and not Polish or DDR.
The third, not my area of expertise, and Scandinavian may be good assessment.
Regards,
Marcus

Many thanks as always Marcus. :)
I've got a feeling that the third one might be quite contemporary, but hopefully someone will know. It appears to have a mark of some kind on the inside base. I'm sure it's not a flaw, but it's so indistinct, that it is impossible to make out.
