This is such a pretty colour - not ruby or cranberry, the sort of orangey red you get on amberina pieces.  Does this colour have a recognised name?

(and if anyone knows anything about who and where for the little hat, gratefully received also..)

So they call it ruby... hmmmm..... not at all like the normal ruby of the 1950s.
