Any ideas of makers?

A small 100mm (4") vase in lead crystal, unsigned but with what appears to be a limited edition script to base.

Also could anyone suggest a maker from the remains of this paper label

This is on a vase, around 250mm (10") made between the wars in Czechoslovakia, with an acid-etched "Importe de Tchechoslovaqie" mark to the base. I suspect possibly a design by Kotera. Will post image of vase when tinypic decides to host it.

Thanks in advance
Marcus

No idea about your Czech item but the first one I recognise - I have an identical one which is signed "Timo Sarpaneva".

Thanks for this, Ivo,

Is it unusual for a limited edition to be issued without signature? Certainly this is a smallish base @ 17mm diameter.

On the other piece, looking carefully, the dirt shows what appears to be the edges of the label, suggesting a vase with a rectangular box underneath. Label size @ 25mm (1") and silver coated.

Regards,

Marcus.

I have no idea what the sig means - mine is numbered 5354, so the date is probably '53 or '54.

As for Legenda o Ceském Skle I have a copy which I found in September last year in Frankfurt where it was remaindered at E19,95.  Maybe they ship?

I'd phone them for you but leaving on the first plane tomorrow morning
