Just thought you might like to see these fish planters I got yesterday.

They are 10 inches long, they have the reg. No. 29781 for July 1885 by Molineux Webb.

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.

Ian — Popularly identified as pike posy troughs, they also came in a shorter version.   See Notley, Popular Glass of the 19th & 20th Centuries, Miller's, 2000, p.36 & p.54.

Nice find.

I know this site is for identification and not for valuation, however I would appreciate your feedback with regards to a valuation by Bonhams of £80 - £100 the pair which I thought was a bit low, what do you think ? Higher or lower?

Regards

Ian
