strange textured vase
« on: June 13, 2007, 09:30:18 AM »
This has me stumped, 8in tall, pronounced mould seam, concave base.

Actually, looking at the seam again it look's as if the mould has been misaligned and have overlapped, as though the two halves did'nt
quite meet, if you know what i mean? ???

Can't help with the ID Sue, but have recently seen several of these both on e-bay and in Collector's Centres,
but not in this nice Kingfisher Blue colour.  They have been in an orangey/red and remind me of some strange internal organ.  They are quite often  listed as Whitefriars, which of course you know they are not. Sorry can't help but just felt like saying something LOL Emmi

LOL internal organ?? hmmm!! from now on i shall call it my LUNG vase  ;D
Definatly not Whitefriars, although it is quite heavy, it lacks the quality of WF, and seem's to be hastily made judging by the mould mark's, maybe Poland??
