Signed barbini Vase- Technique?

(1/4) > >>

lenore:
Hi,
Does anyone know what the technique is on this signed Barbini vase? Very massive thick piece; the darl top is solid in color and the lavender base has clear spots like swiss cheese for a lack of a better description.
Thanks!

This is a fairly contemporary vase by Barbini. I don't know if there is a name for the technique, but there is probably a model or design name which you might be able to get if you emailed Barbini directly.

lenore:
Hi Laura,
Do you happen to have a website or e-mail address for Barbini? Can't seem to google it! I did just send a pic off to Venini on the a canne decanter. Will let everyone know what they say if they respond.
Lenore
