Peach / Amber  fluted lamp base , weighs 4 kilos , 12 flutes of very thick glass , it had a cable attached to an old fitting,  im thinking 1950's / 1960's
8 inches tall x 25 inches in circumference

I don't really know, but it sure does remind me of Leerdam.

Definitely not Leerdam, mounting, colour and treatment point imho at French Deco.

I don't know if WMF did anything like it - didn't they stamp all metal mounts?

The shape looks Italian to me, although the colour doesn't.  The base looks like it could be Italian, I've got a huge lampbase with the same cutting to allow the flex out and another lampbase with a similar flat base shape and ribbing.

Not conclusive by any means, but maybe worth a try?  :)

Do I see flakes of Mica (silvery) inside the glass or are those bubbles ? Ed.
