Iridescent snake vase ID help, please.
« on: July 16, 2007, 09:04:02 PM »
This vase is 6 1/2" tall and the base is 4" diameter.  I was sure I could match the color with a maker since the yellow-red is so unusual in iridescent glass.  The coiled critter is a snake.  I have had suggestions of Rindskopf and Kralik as likely maker of this vase, but in looking at on-line galleries I haven't a clue.  All opinions are welcome, and thank you for looking.

Ivo is right, I'm sure.
There is an almost identical vase on page 118 of Robert and Deborah Truitt's book "Collectible Bohemian Glass 1880-1940". The text says that Rindskopf called this glass "Grenada" and this little vase is described as 6" tall and made c 1900.

Thank you both.  Yes, I have looked at the site you linked.  Every time I do , I have to pick myself up from the floor.
