Topic: Unidentified Vase, Ashtray, and an Unknown Engraver

Have some more pickings from the great unknown Pile here at Nazeing! I've resized the pictures so they load up alot quicker, but if you wish to see a larger photo or a shot from another another angle just let me know and i will oblige. There is a fair amount of glass here that we have yet to identify, so if you would like to have a stab at some more just let me know. It's like a treasure trove here!

The first is a Yellow/Green vase 9 inches high. There are no markings on the vase at all unfortunately

The seconds is a very heavy square green ash tray, 2.5 inches high and 4.5 inches wide.

And lastly we have an unidentified vase (we think either whitefriars or Webb), which looks to be later engraved. The engraving is very deep, and very detailed (I hope the picture shows this, engraving is hard to get clear on photos). The bottom is marked "S. Bull, No. 52". Anyone have any ideas as to either the maker of the glass and/or information on the engraver. Its a very well done piece so we're very interested to learn more about it.

Ashtray. Difficult to be certain but it appears to be: Jablonecke Sklo, Desna. Designed by Vaclav Hanus, and pattern number 32759/202, from around 1960-62.

The engraved vase is not Whitefriars..........it says Scandinavian - perhaps Orrefors - to me. Emmi

It could easily be a Decorator using a blank. I think this was discussed re Orrefors recently.

Cheers for looking. I know hos frustrating it is when you look hard for something and nothing turns up. Been going through that experience alot recently!

The link you gave me is very useful, so thank you for sharing. Later on today I'll be going up to sheffield, so hopefully the libraries there will turn up something. If so, I'll report back here!
