Topic: Rindskopf vase?

Very tall vase, 13.5" high with iridescence (no matter how I spell that word, it still doesn't look right!)

Base is indented with sharp mark from pontil rod.  Does anyone know if it's Rindskopf?

Could be Kralik. Have you looked through the pages in loetz.com?

I know its a martele finish, means hammered, cos I spent ages Saturday looking for my little vase

Definitely a Rindskopf vase and definitely a martele finish, it was blown into a mould with a martele finish then reworked and stretched out with the pontil reattached at the base and the rim fire polished. Unusual in green more often seen in Rindskopfs “Pepita” décor with a wine red top fading into clear with Rindskopfs apple green oilspot finish that reflects a purple and green iridescence. I can see what you mean by the 'Pepita' range, now that I've Googled it and read your accurate description.  I haven't found this exact shape in any colourway yet though.  It's great to know it's Rindskopf...it's my first piece. 

Now...should I put a hyacinth bulb in it to grow next year, or would that be really naughty?

Thanks Mike    I actually looked through your site and somehow missed it before...not sure how I managed that.   

Mine isn't perfect as it's got a few light scratches inside the narrow part of the neck, a very thin burst bubble and a teeny area of missing iridescence alongside it on the bulbous upper part.  It's the only vase of this style I have, so I'm going to keep it.  Blooming tall though...not sure where to put it!!     Nothing on windowsills is safe from cats here.   

(and yes, maybe putting water in it isn't such a great idea Christine..lol)
