I saw this at auction today and had to buy it....even though it came with 4 boxes full of old junk.
It has a short section of air twist ,a ground pontil and wear to the base but what is it? It is 23cm high.
At first i thought this was old and when i put it with my early lat C18th early C19th pieces it looked out of place- a little too bright perhaps. But looking further at them it did match the glass of some of my better quality early 19th rummers ( same colour- few inclusions and bubbles).
If anyone can help with the date or if you know a name for this type of object please let me know.
Many thanks,
 David

Do you think it could be that modern in this style?

I really don't know, that was just an off the wall guess based on other 20th century things I have seen, the sort of jugs that often came with long glass stirrers
