Strathearn Wren Vase
« on: September 05, 2007, 06:40:47 PM »
Can anyone help with information and perhaps a rough value for this vase, please.
8 inch high, signed Strathearn, A B Gordon, 1976 No. 1  (could this be number 1 of an limited edition?)
Polished base. Engraved wren.

Many thanks
Lynne

Thankyou for answering. I was told Alisdair Gordon on another forum.  Would like to know more and if it was a limited number made.

Further help would be appreciated
Lynne

Alasadair was with Strathearn from 1973 until emigrating to Aussie. He has since retired and the Australian site features his daughter.

There is little information about quantities etc. yet. Though recently we have been in touch and I hope to be getting more information in coming months.

I would appreciate copies of images of your vase to add to the Scotland's Glass site... larger the better and views from different angles against a white or light ground.

Thankyou, Frank.

I shall do some more pictures at the week-end and post to Scottish as requested.

If you are in contact with Australia again in the future, I would appreciate it if you could mention the vase.

Lynne
