Amazing glass sculpture at Staceys auction tomorrow
« on: September 17, 2007, 12:11:57 PM »
Just back from checking out Staceys auctions, and saw this amazing glass sculpture, up for grabs tomorrow.
Quote

A rare one-off 1974 Italian Murano Glass Sculpture in figural form of a dancing couple by Venetian Master Glass Sculptor Pino Signoretto. Measuring 5ft in height, signed and dated by Signoretto on the base.

and thought it might be interesting.  Somehow, when I was reading the catalogue, I missed the description that it was 5 foot tall......It is an amazing piece of glass, I didn't try to heft it, but I HATE to think how much it must weigh... :o

Thank you very much!

If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

It would have been right up Paul's (chuggy) street if he hadn't become a follow of El Greco....  ;D
Thank you very much!
