Identification of RC stamped paperweight
« on: October 17, 2007, 11:38:37 PM »
I am looking for information about a glass blower or studio which signs its works with a RC embossed on the bottom. I have attached a picture. My email is <removed by moderator in line with board guidelines>
Thanks.

Andy Dohan's recent revision to his Paperweight Signature Canes book (see this message in Glass Market Place) notes "RC" in a list of "pontil stamps" for: Robert "Bob" Cosner. No other details are given and I know of no other info on that maker.

If you have access to the Gary & Marge McClenahan newsletters with the alphabetical listing of PW artists, there will be an entry there with limited additional information.

These were a series of newsletters issued over a multi year time frame that ended at least five years ago, and probably longer than that. I looked for my copy but I couoldn't find it. (If you saw where I keep my PW library - you would understand.) Try contacting "photo" on ebay - he is Gary McClanahan.

I have the newsletter, but don't see any entries for Cosner with the "C"'s.
