Sklo union or scandi
« on: December 06, 2007, 12:38:06 PM »
Hi all, i have this lovely bowl, and am wondering wether it is Sklo Union or Scandi, any thoughts?
It looks sort of green in the pic's but is a rather smokey colour.

This might be dichroic if it's changing colour under different lighting conditions - I have a Czech piece that changes like this.

Interesting optical design as well - very much like Chance's Lancer pattern, except the 'oblings' are outdented.

Needs Marcus!

Hi Sue,
Not something I have come across as yet, though the base suggests European. Very similar base to the unidentified items, that I posted a few weeks ago.
Regards,
Marcus

Sue, try taking one in daylight, one with flash, and another under fluorescent light without flash. Don't get too close to the vase, so move away from the object and zoom in a little. This might reveal a slight colour change under these different conditions.
