Glass Soap dish with silver metal base
« on: January 14, 2008, 06:28:50 PM »
Hi, I recently found this at a flea market.  Anyone know the design, maker, or the age of it.  It has a silver base, yet I see no mark there....but will take another (closer) look.  Thanks in advance.

The base looks like chrome plate Rose, rather than silver - is the underside of the base the same colour or is it a dullish gold colour.  The glass is a hobnail and button pattern I think, but no idea who made it - I think various makers produced hobnail/button variants... maybe someone will recognise it though. :)

Thanks Anne...the bottom/underside is the same color as the top.  I did not know the pattern was Hobnail/button pattern, so thank you for that ;)...always learning.  Thxs.

Hi,

It looks like Davidson's 1912 suite (RD590570) See http://www.cloudglass.com/R19111920.htm. This pattern was made well into the 1970s.

Regards

Chris
