I read recently that URL redirects are the latest trick in the spammers article, sending you to a site of their choice. Although the take overs are only temporary and not global.

Surely they would need the registrant's details to gain access to the domain name server and allow the redirect to be altered?

I have to say it doesn't make me feel very comfortable about the security of some ISPs if that's the case!

I had a warning from my hosting company about this.  It is usually done with a phishing email so they said .

Rather than start a panic about ISPs or websites being hacked, if we look at this logically we can try and work out what happened to Sue.
