Little clear pot with stylised roses - Czech?
« on: January 28, 2008, 09:50:02 AM »
Here's a little pot I bought recently.  I was impressed by the amount of detail it had for such a fine pressed glass item.  The entire dish is covered in a kind of cross-hatching (useful if you wanted to light a match urgently  ;D) and the roses are rather lovely.

Anyway - the details:  4" across and a four part mould.

Thank you.  :)

Czech would be my first thought, or possibly Scandinavian? The rose decoration is fascinating: looks like a series of triangles with rounded edges, all intersecting.

Yes, I thought of it as well (have you been to Hill House in Helensborough?). But it seems to be a bit more elaborate than CRM's roses.
