Hi all,
anyone have an idea who made this....
20cm (8in) diameter, 5.5cm (2 1/4in) high, clear blown upturned bowl with red sunken central well that pierces the clear section with a lip that stands proud....the whole thing is quite asymetrical and looks nice quality with a little base wear but not signed.
I've been through most of my reference and the closest match are some Leerdam unika pieces by Floris Meydam shown in 'New Glass' Corning, 1979. page 155, not a perfect match but I wonder if there were production pieces based on the Unika?
I know there were Japanese, and Murano makers producing similar designs in the 70s and probably many others...
any thoughts much appreciated.
