Topic: Uranium bowl. Northwood? Dugan? Rare?

I think I've asked about this before, but I can't find the thread - and it might have been on a different forum  my memory is so bad!    

I think this bowl is (was ) made by Northwood or Dugan, and is a variation of their 'Daffodil' pattern. Can anyone confirm?  And is (was  ) it rare, or common as .... whatever? 

It's just that it got 'catted' while we were away at the weekend and sadly is now in pieces  :cry: I need to know if it's worth claiming on the insurance policy, as we have a £50 excess, so unless it's worth a lot more than that it's probably not worth claiming.  At least it didn't hit anything else as it fell and break that, which has been known before with 'catted' items    I really must get some more white-tac or museum gel

Daffodils was supposedly only made in water sets and a lamp. I say "supposedly" because a sugar shaker surfaced last year.

A more likely pattern is called Iris in Edwards & Carwile's fifth edition of their opalescent book. They value the vaseline vase at $100.

But, Edwards and Carwile have been wrong over and over again.

Thanks, Ron.  It does look more like an Iris to me, but I only knew about 'Daffodil'. 

At $100 it's obviously not worth claiming with £50 policy excess  :cry:

My sympathies: last week my cat destroyed a Barovier and Toso console bowl, which I assumed, totally incorrectly it turned out, was too heavy to be moved by a cat. Now, how did I answer that question about the burning building and saving the work of art or the cat?

My problem is that I have four cats, and what one might not be able to shift they all gang up to wreck!    But I think I'd still save them, not the work of art!  I'm just such a softie :spls:
