Topic: Stunning Claret jug/ewer but by whom???

I bought this a while ago and it is stunning but unfortunatly these pics do it little justice. It stands about 21cm tall and is perfect. The handle is almost tubular in that it has an air bubble!!  running through the centre. the opening/rim is cut polished with the neck being cut lengthways and also spiral cut. The globe is again finely spiral cut and the base has a finly polished out pontil base which has been star cut. look at the pictures and you will see what i mean. This has to be the nicest jug ive ever had but have no idea as to who made it etc so any help would be greatly appreciated

Fascinating design, I wonder if it was intended for boat or train use - the widened base offering a little increased stability. But lower would have been better as the centre of gravity might be too high. perhaps a Stonier type of product if English.

Stonier?? is that a maker? ive heard of stonier plates etc but not glass! Is there any where that i can research?
