Green random strapped vase to id please
« on: March 09, 2008, 10:04:54 AM »
I have a rather pretty green random strapped vase which I would like to identify.  I am pretty sure it isn't Whitefriars.  It is 10 inches tall.

Here are some pics.

Hi Littleblackhen,
it sometimes takes ages for someone to come up with an answer.

My guess is your vase is not too old, maybe Polish (Krosno ? or similar) or Czech rep.

Best i can do
Regards

i agree. as a general rule, if it is heavy, of simple shape and has a polished rim, think Polish.

Thanks for the suggestions. :)

Does anyone have any links to sites about Polish glass please?  When I google it I just get results telling me how to clean glass   ;D

try google krosno, then. Or wresniak, or makora, or tárnow, or Irena or huta szkla. I am sure the wonderful world of polish glass will open up to you.

Wow!  Thanks for the links :)

I enjoyed looking through some of those sites.  I didn't see anything like my vase though :(
