Will anyone chance an arm and care to put some date or persons name to this if it can be done, or are these made by workers whom work for the company, so no one person as such. i am guessing 78 and could this be Carafe shape ? would this have had a stopper do you think?

I doubt that it had a stopper, most likely just a vase and I'm not sure how you pinned it down to 1978, probably newer than that. Here is the current Mdina website http://www.mdinaglass.net/index.htm
